Her Excellency the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, attended ‘’Egypt Economic Summit’’ in its third edition, held under the slogan “Community Development and Investment Opportunities after the Corona crisis”, under the auspices of the Egyptian Cabinet. This year’s conference deals with the topic “Global Inflation and the Role of the Public and Private Sectors in Confronting it”.

During her speech, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed pointed out the role of The Egyptian Regulatory Reform Activity (ERRADA) which aims to reform the legislative and regulatory framework to ensure business stimulation, encourage investment, and establish a dialogue between the government and private sector companies, as ERRADA plays a central role in achieving the sustainable development goals and the targets of “Egypt Vision 2030”. ERRADA also had a direct impact on enriching economic development improving transparency, raising the efficiency of government institutions, and and creating the appropriate environment for private sector participation.

Her Excellency also pointed out the importance of ERRADA in light of the state’s implementation of many legislative and institutional reforms recently by issuing a package of laws and legislations, including (Investment Law – Industrial Licensing Law – Egyptian Competition Law – Microfinance Law – Bankruptcy Law and Exit from the market – Medium and Small Enterprises Development Law), where the government is keen to activate the benefit of the facilities offered by this package of laws and legislation by ensuring consistency and integration between these legislations and qualifying the various stakeholders to apply them.
